I'm always on the look out for new mascaras to try, there are so many out there that do different things, how are we supposed to choose just one? Whether you want more voluminousness lashes or longer lashes there is a product out there for you! Volume is one element that I've never really been too interested in, I'm not the biggest fan of the fake lash effect. Recently though I have been wanting a little more volume in my lashes so when this GOSH Boombastic XXL Volume Mascara in Black* was sent to me I couldn't wait to see how it would transform my lifeless lashes!
This mascara really is for those who don't mess around when it comes to voluminous lashes! The brush is quite big but the bristles on it, which are plastic, are really short meaning a lot of product is able to build up around it. Also this means this mascara isn't going to give you much length, which isn't a surprise seeing as it is a volume building mascara! The mascara wand also has little bristles on the end of it to catch little lashes on the inner and outer corners of your eye. However, I wouldn't put it anyway near such delicate areas of my eyes as there is SO much product built up on the end, this isn't a make or break flaw though. Also this isn't a good mascara for your bottom lashes, I'd recommend using a separate mascara on them. GOSH also claim that you can build up a massive amount of volume whilst keeping your lashes clump free.
I used a very light hand when applying this product as you can visibly see on the brush that there is tons of product waiting to be applied onto your lashes. Even with a light hand and one coat this mascara is very capable of building up a lot of volume. At first I wasn't keen on how voluminousness my lashes looked but as I used to mascara again and again I did warm to the effect, this definitely isn't one for Sixth Form/School though! When GOSH say this is going to give you lots of volume they really do mean it! Also the colour is very black, so overall this is a great mascara for a night out!
Lasting time wise this lasted maybe 3/4 of the day on me, with there being so much product applied to your lashes you can't expect it to stay put for ages. This would be perfect for a night out though, like I said above, as it would stay all night!
Overall I am really happy with how this performs, it isn't the perfect mascara for me because I don't want this much volume but for those who do I'd 100% recommend it to you!
