Sharon Stone is so fabulous, she has no reason to get embarrassed about publicly stepping outside with a head-full of hair pins.

The 55-year-old actress proudly paraded her premature hairstyle as she left Drybar salon in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday.

Pampering for a big day ahead, the Casino actress opted style her blonde locks into a curly 'do.

But she didn't want to waste any time sitting around for her curls to set, choosing to leave the salon with all her pins still perfectly in place.

Sharon didn't even try hiding from photographers, shamelessly smiling as they snapped away.

And if that wasn't enough of a carefree statement, the star embraced her preparatory updo as she hit the busy city streets, keeping it in tact as she zoomed off in her convertible.

Comfortable for her early morning trip, the Basic Instinct actress sported a nautical-themed blouse, lightweight, baggy white trousers, and pink flats.

And she appeared to be make-up free, concealing her eyes with round, black sunglasses.

Though, the A-list actress was a bit over-prepared, as another pair of shades was randomly hanging from the collar of her printed shirt.

Sharon's confident outing comes after she insisted in an interview earlier this month that she wants to grow old gracefully and is proud of looking so natural at her age.

She told HELLO! magazine: 'I have never been a person who lies about their age. I've always thought that ageing is something we should grow into, not try to fight.'

But her age is certainly not holding back her acting career, as the Lovelace star will next be seen on screen in John Turturro's Fading Gigolo, starring alongside Woody Allen and Sofia Vergara.

She has described her role as a 'colour-blind lesbian dermatologist involved in a ménage à trois'.

The film recently garnered good reviews at the Toronto Film Festival.
