Primark Perfumes: Bulgarian Rose and Orange Blossom

Passionfruit by Yaeji

If you didn't know it already - Primark does perfume. I know I made a haul a while ago about most of the Primark makeup in my collection but, I also have a few scents that I guess slipped my mind since they're not exactly makeup.

Today I bring to you just two of their scents that I have in my collection (although I do have a few more knocking around somewhere) - Bulgarian Rose and Orange Blossom

Bulgarian Rose
Is a sweet scrumptious scent, it's creamy, floral and sparkling all at the same time. This is a scent that I can see many a fwine (better than fine) lady wearing for a date or at the office as its pretty inoffensive despite its overt girly overtones. It's not overpowering, too floral, or too sweet so when it dries down it comes across as fresh and sophisticated until it lastly blurs into a powdery spicy light floral. So, if you're after a feminine scent that you can wear throughout the year when you're dressed up or down this scent is certainly something to try.

Orange Blossom
Unbeknownst to you, I have a thing for orange blossoms (similar to King Louis the XIV) so, naturally, I just had to try this perfume. This scent is quite subtle but sweet with hints of a gourmand vanilla popcorn-like addictive note to it, along with a honeyed green freshness which is alluring, fresh and vibrant. If you love warm scents that radiate on the skin without being noticeably set in a genre (floral, sweet, clean) then you might just have to try it out.

Price: £3.50 each for 50ml

Favs? Ultimately I like both. Although I do wear Bulgarian Rose daily, Orange Blossom is a scent I may just actually prefer.

Longevity? I do find that after the initial hour or so, I don't tend to smell them throughout the day although I feel they can linger on the clothes. However, since using Bulgarian Rose daily for months (perhaps 3-4 spritz each day) the scent looks hardly used so I'd say their value is very good.

Packaging? Simple and gorgeous. I love the clean square glass, golden tops, beautiful misting spritz, and writing. The aesthetics are very minimal but classy and pretty faultless in my eyes. There's no overblown colours or shapes which "alludes" to what you may be smelling - it's like a clean canvas where all you enjoy is the scent without any guided bias.

Made In France

Overall thoughts: I'm really pleased with both scents. I don't want harp on that the price is an amazing value because who'd want Primark to change their mind and hike up the price - not me. I think these perfumes (there's a range of £3.50 scents) are perfect for those on a budget looking for a really nice affordable scent that's more sophisticated than a body spray. Yet, don't get it twisted they are Eau de Parfums' and in fact, they're so nice they don't need to be dupes of any other perfume and hold their own from just simply by being themselves.

In other news: I want to do a few posts on budget beauty, self-care, and femininity so you may just see these ladies being featured again. These posts will be great for those woman on a budget, young or mature ladies and anyone who wants to bring the joy of feminine creativity back into their life. I'm on a journey too y'all.
