Review: Urban Decay Sin Afterglow Highlighter

Over the last year I have turned into a highlighter junkie. They are my favourite makeup items. Adding that glow is my favourite part of applying makeup, to my own face or my client's face. I think it takes a makeup look from good to great, and it's a step I never miss. As a result, my highlighter collection is steadily growing, and I was particularly keen to try the new Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighters, since I love the blushes of the same name so much.
According to Urban Decay:

"Afterglow isn’t your average highlighter; we took the time to finely mill the powder until it was just right. The result: a lightweight (yet luxurious) feel and a super-soft, creamy texture. Afterglow Highlighter goes on sheer and blends easily. Use a little or a lot; our wearable formula always applies beautifully, no matter how much you build it. Available in three shades suitable for any skin tone, Afterglow creates a glowy, strobed effect that lasts all day."

There are three colours in the collection, but I had to have Sin

Sin is a beautiful cool toned champagne colour that is absolutely perfect for fair skin tones, but I'm sure would be suitable for darker skin tones, too.

Swatches really don't do it justice. When applied to the face, it is very brightening and blends beautiful. True to the claim, it does last 8 hours on me.

I am in love with Sin. I like that it's cooler toned, as many of my champagne highlighters can appear quite gold on the skin. I'd definitely recommend you go and swatch the three shades, I'm sure there will be one to suit you. I got mine from the Urban Decay website for £19.
