A blogging friend of mine, Anissa from Beautifully Glossy is one of my biggest enablers at the moment. Anissa and I have such similar make up tastes so when she told me I had to try the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colours I happily obliged, buying two from Adore Beauty and one from Sephora (hauls here and here).
Over the past few months I've really been enjoying this super convenient eye product so I finally thought it was time to review it.
The Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colours are essentially cream eyeshadows in a wind up pencil form, meaning that they do not need to be sharpened and are quite a lot easier than potted cream shadows to apply. They are some of the smoothest cream eyeshadows I've ever tried whether it be in a pot or and their lasting power is incredible, whether worn alone or as a base for eyeshadows.
As I have said, these are so easy to apply. I tend to just draw the product all over my mobile lid and blend it out with my finger or a brush from the xoBeauty 4pc Synthetic Eye Brush Set (as hauled here). When blended out the colour can be a little more sheer, of course, but another application intensifies it quite significantly. I tend to use Rose Gold and Amethyst all over the lid and, if I'm going for a smokey eye, I'll work Plum into the outer v only as I feel like it's too intense for an all over lid colour.
The Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colours are incredibly long wearing. I have worn them both by themselves and with powder eyeshadow on top of them and, either way, they last a whole work day (10+ hours) without creasing or fading. You've got to be happy with that, right?
Although the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colours can be quite costly, retailing for $39.00AU (and available from David Jones and Myers stores), I would highly recommend them and I'll definitely be picking up a few more shades. Damn you, Anissa!

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Rose Gold | Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Amethyst | Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Plum
As you can see, I own three Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colours. Rose Gold is a rosy gold/champagne colour with shimmer, Amethyst is a dirty mauve shade with a pearlescent finish and Plum is a blackened plum shade with a slight pearl finish. Plum isn't as shimmery at the other two, as I'm sure you can tell from the swatch.
