With the arrival of Easter this tomorrow, I've been feeling extra feminine and girly. Craving pastel colors, bold colors, neons.. You name it, if it has color, I want to be surrounded by it! I love the way adding bold pops of color to your makeup and wardrobe can make you feel. Confident, sexy, flirty, powerful, sophisticated.. How every woman should feel when she looks in the mirror.
Diving back into my makeup kit, I decided to have fun with a little color! In the spirit of Spring I tried out some yellows, blues, and added a hint of purple. Voila! Fun and dramatic eye shadow. I loved it! It really made my eyes pop!
You can follow the steps below to achieve this look.
Step 1.
Apply Mac paint pot Painterly evenly all over lid up to brow bone as a base. Apply with finger. (Give it a minute to set)
Step 2.
With a round fluff brush apply yellow shadow on the inner lid of eye and around the tear duct. Softly blend outward.
Step 3.
With a round fluff brush apply light turquoise shadow color on the center of the lid.
Step 4.
With a round fluff brush apply the dark blue shadow on the outer corner of the lid and in the crease.
Step 5.
With a flat shading brush apply the purple shadow only on the outer corner of the eye lid along the lash line into the outer crease creating a small V with the shadow and brush. Softly blend blend blend.
Step 6.
Using a flat shading brush use Mac White Frost underneath the brow as a highlight. Blend.
Step 7.
Using a medium round blending brush, continue to blend the blue shadow in the crease softening all areas back and forth.
Step 8.
Apply black liquid liner directly above the lash line. Starting at the tear duct moving all the way outward creating a wing past the outer corner of the eye. Using Makeup Forever black waterproof pencil under the eye along the bottom lash line, and on the waterline. Blend softly on bottom lash line with a small flat blending brush.
Step 9.
Using a medium flat blending brush softly sweep the dark blue shadow underneath the eye over the black liner.
Apply lots of Dior Show black waterproof mascara. You're finished! Take a step back and enjoy your smokey bold eye makeup. Try getting creative and mixing other colors as well. You can do this look with Pinks, Plums, Greens.. Have fun experimenting!
